I’ll be honest: right now, it’s 5:08 p.m. on a Thursday and I’m suffering from a case of writer’s block. I want to write something to share. As you may remember, I’m seriously against inconsistency. But for some reason, that old saying keeps going through my head: “If you don’t have anything nice to say, don’t say anything at all.”And from a content perspective, it occurs to me that the same could apply if you don’t have anything of value to say.So, on the flip side of the inconsistency coin is the question of quality versus quantity. More versus better. And I think it’s important to understand that when writing content, inspiration is not on tap. There’s no switch you can flip. And that, as they say, is that. So, if you find yourself short on ideas for quality content, my advice to you is this: pause, think, strategize, and sit tight until it hits you. In my experience, it’s probably only a quick break, some fresh air. or a good night’s sleep away. As much as it’s important to be consistent, you don’t want to sacrifice value for volume. It’s a disservice to your audience. Nobody notices silence. But they do notice poor quality.I was about to take my own advice and wait, then realized my advice might be worth sharing. Beautiful irony! Thank goodness for small miracles.
