As a coworking space operator, the more value you can offer your members, the better. So, you should always be seeking new ways to do so.And, if you want my two cents for free, one incredible opportunity is to create great content for your members. How come?Because it affords you the luxury of becoming a resource for them.I don’t just mean a resource for an inspiring physical workspace, the hardware and tools they need to do great work, outstanding service and amenities, and an incredible professional community. I mean a resource for information, insights, expertise, thought leadership, and tips that will help them become even better at their jobs and help make their working lives even easier. This can be everything from creating blog posts to webinars and podcasts (among many other offerings). In doing so, you’re adding value for your members as a trusted source of information that can help them learn new skills, think of things in new ways, grow their business, and ultimately make more money. And the best part for your members? It’s just another free perk of being at an incredible flexible office space like yours. But here’s the rub: you might’ve noticed I highlighted and italicized a word up in that third paragraph. Very perceptive!Wondering why?Because, in order for your content creation to have the desired effect, it has to be great. So, what does that mean?It means using your thorough understanding of your membership base to identify topics that will be relevant and helpful for them and then creating captivating (emphasis!! here) content they really want to read. That means the first step is to put yourself in their shoes. If you were, say, a solo professional with a growing business, what types of tips would you find useful?Maybe it’s ideas for how to outsource small projects and admin tasks. Or how to find a reliable virtual assistant. Or productivity tips and tools to help you stay organized and get more done in any given day.Or maybe it’s an interview with a successful marketing professional who can impart wisdom and insights they’ve acquired throughout their career. Whatever it might be, it all boils down to one thing:Creating and sharing strategically crafted content can be another way to make your coworking space more valuable to your members, in turn helping your chances of retaining members and building a reputation as a go-to hub for professionals. This tactic can also be used to attract net-new leads. But that’s another story. I work with coworking operators from across North America to create content that brings value for their members--from conception to execution.
