Your email list is just as important as your social media (if not more so).
At the time of writing this, Instagram is down.
And while it will inevitably come back on, it made me wonder: what if it didn’t?
I imagined that scenario for myself–all the work I’ve put into my business Instagram lately and all the time I’ve spent on it. It would all be for naught.
But what about influencers, B2C companies, Coworking spaces, that have put a ton of time and money into building their social media followings?
All those followers, all those posts. Gone.
This made me think: your email list is just as important as your social media presence, if not more so.
For one, it lets you connect with members and leads directly, personally, and, most importantly, with their explicit consent.
But also, your email list is yours forever.
So, if Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, or LinkedIn go away, all those contacts are gone.
But you own your email list and all of those contacts until the end of time (or email, whichever comes first).
Keep that in mind. Invest accordingly.
I work with coworking operators from across North America to build powerful email lists and email marketing campaigns. If you’d like to learn more about how I can help you, get in touch with me today.
