A few months back, I hired a business coach to help me dial things in and to equip me with new tools, perspectives, and skills.
I wanted to see what else I could achieve if I had some help, guidance, and, most importantly, structure.
And what I quickly learned was that, while I’d been doing fine quarterbacking things on my own, I was at a plateau. I had reached the maximum potential I could achieve by going it alone.
See, the fact of the matter is that everyone’s got a core function–the thing they know and do well.
And then they’ve got everything else. The stuff that’s important but that isn’t their main thing.
For me, my core skills are (and always have been) writing and strategy. Storytelling. Communicating.
Running a business? Setting up systems and processes? Accounting?
Ehhhhh. Not so much. Those fall under my everything else category.
I did it, but it certainly wasn’t as dialed in as it could be–or should be.
For you, as a coworking space operator, I’d imagine your core skills involve things like real estate, hospitality, community building, overseeing business operations, networking.
And if you’re like a lot of the operators I talk to, your everything else probably involves things like social media, advertising, creating content.
They’re important. But they’re not your core function. And you can do them. But you’re not maximizing their potential.
Our respective everything elses don’t detract from us being awesome. They just mean that we need to enlist help from others to level up.
That’s business. And that’s life.
I say that all to say this: getting somebody to help me was one of the best decisions I ever made. The investment has long since paid for itself. I honestly wish I’d done it a year ago, but I had to get to a place where I was ready for it.
So, if you’re getting tired of dealing with everything else–whatever it is–I’d implore you to do yourself a favor and hire some help.
Not only will it save you time and hassle, it’ll help you dial in those things so that they quantifiably benefit your coworking space.
If creating content falls within your everything else, get in touch with me today. I can help you dial it in so that it generates more impressions, more leads, and more referrals.
